Who is Lemakhan?

Alimatu Farakhan Sesay is the birth name of Industry star popularly known as Lemakhan who owns one of the homes of fine art in the country -LEMA’S DIARY.

ALIMATU FARAKHAN SESAY is a lover of art (writing) and a courageous woman with the intentions of refining the art and entertainment industry in Sierra Leone. Born in Kenema town in the 90s and got a high school education in the GOVERNMENT MODEL SECONDARY SCHOOL and once headgirl during her time of attendance, She is a comfirmed Bsc Commerce holder from the University of Sierra Leone -FBC.

As an inspired writer, she has been doing it since school days which forces her to nuture her growing talent by writing a lot on books.

In case you may want to know she is a married woman. Married to Umaru Farakhan Deen Sesay, A legal economist with 2 boys. She started working on movies fully after graduation in 2016 and her production has already got a successful movie-Wild Emotions which was achieved working with other industry stars like; Ramadan KD Barry, Thelma Bernet, Hawarden Kamara etc. Edited by Ibrahim Slym Kebbay and directed by one of SLs successful directors in the decade M Lansana Kamara (SPARTA).

“I love writing because… You can say a lot of things to people in one word and no one has the right to hold you responsible… My family comes first because I love my family and friends… Favorite colors are black and Navy blue… I love fruits a lot and sometimes lafide made by my mother.My production Lema’s Diary comes from my silence in a lot of things… I have always gotten a small book that I take my anger to… ”

These were the most beautiful lines that I heard from her on our meeting. As courageous and Motivational as she is, she believes the future of the industry is in the hands of the “newconers” This, backed up by her pure hearted Ness makes her initiative of the NETWORKING DINNER -a night for ladies to think, discuss, share initiatives and dine together. Isn’t she just wonderful?
